Expert session «Efficacy and availability of medicines: from technology and evidence-base to the patient» will be held on June 30th, 2023

June 30th, 2023 in Minsk, Belarus, the Secretariat of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) together with the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the International Organization «Eurasian Cooperation on Clinical Recommendations and the Development of National Health» with the support of the CIS Executive Committee, will hold the first expert session on the elaboration of the Model Law «On medicine provision in CIS member states». The elaboration of the legislative proposal is carried out in compliance with the Perspective Plan for Model Lawmaking in the Commonwealth of Independent States for the years 2023-2025.
Due to the special socio-economic significance of this Model Law, and in order to discuss and present the opinion of the national expert community on the most important aspects of medicine provision, a series of special sessions will be attended by representatives of the parliaments of CIS member states, the Expert Council on Public Health under the IPA CIS, relevant international organizations and the academic community. Representatives of ministries and departments of the CIS member states, national academies of sciences, international and medical organizations, insurance and pharmaceutical companies, national professional associations, medical and patient communities of the CIS member states are invited as experts to the session.
The theme of the first expert session is «Efficiency and availability of medicines: from technology and evidence-base to the patient».
